Commonly referred to as the "Broad Arrow" or "Crows Foot" the Broad Arrow is a stylized arrow traditionally used in heraldry, adopted later used by the British government to mark government property and also a referencing term to describe a style of hands for watches. 

Closely associated with Great Britain, the Board of Ordnance and War Department, and later the Ministry of Defense.
